📢 New Publication by the EuCARE Team!

We’re excited to share the latest research from EKUT team, now published in Computers in Biology and Medicine.

“An informed deep learning model of the Omicron wave and the impact of vaccination” explores the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron sublineages in Germany, France, and Italy using Physics-Informed Neural Networks.

🧠💉 What did they find?
🔹 Key mutations (S371F, T376A, D405N, R408S) are linked to higher transmissibility and immune evasion.
🔹 These were especially prevalent in Omicron BA.2 and BA.3 lineages.
🔹 The model provides new insight into how variants spread — and how vaccination impacts that dynamic.
