EuCARE article published online about distance learning and the impact on students grades and confidence

A new EuCARE article has been published on an Italian online blog (“Il fatto quotidiano”) by Sara Gandini, EuCARE partner from the European Institute of Oncology (IEO); and by Francesca Incardona, EuCARE project coordinator and CEO of EuResist network. This new piece of work talks about the EuCARE schools study.

The article compares scientific evidence generated by the EuCARE project on the impact of distance learning in students. The results suggest higher levels of anxiety, stress and loneliness than another comparable article, generated by a platform that sells and provides online tutoring services. In this other report, students allegedly felt confident and less awkward during distance learning sessions.

This EuCARE study on distance learning was part of the EuCARE Schools study and its preliminary results were presented in June at the International Conference on Antiviral Research (ICAR) 2024 in Rome.
