EuCARE partners made contributions to the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections 2024 (CROI), held from March 3rd to 6th, 2024. This prestigious conference, established in 1993, serves as a vital platform for basic scientists and clinical investigators to exchange insights into the epidemiology and biology of human retroviruses and associated diseases.
Pontus Hegberg, a EuCARE partner from Karolinska Institutet (KI), contributed to the conference by presenting a poster entitled “In-Hospital Mortality During Different SARS-CoV-2 Variant Waves in the EuCARE Multinational Cohort” at the session “Factors Affecting Outcome of Acute COVID-19”. This research sheds light on critical aspects of COVID-19 management and outcomes.
The strong EuCARE team’s participation at CROI 2024 underscores our commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of infectious diseases. Stay tuned for more updates on EuCARE’s groundbreaking contributions to global health.
